Pete Rock & General Steele Speak On Police Brutality At Album Release Party [Video]

Pete Rock and Smif-N-Wessun’s album release party for ‘Monumental‘ was interrupted by mace spraying, billy club wielding members of the NYPD.

By all accounts the party being held at Tammany Hall in Mahattatan was a peaceful event, until a few people outside of the venue started trouble when they were denied entrance. Once police arrived they overreacted and a riot ensued.

Police stormed the club and cleared everyone one out, including the artists.

The Urban Daily caught up with Pete Rock and General Steele of Smif-N-Wessun to get their take on what went down.
