Shaq pays tribute to Muhammad Ali before Game 2 of NBA Finals

Shaquille O’Neal paid tribute to the late Muhammad Ali before Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday.

Shaq, who will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in September, donned a “GOAT” t-shirt over his dress shirt and tie in honor of the Greatest of Alltime.

O’Neal also posted some photos he took with Ali on his Facebook andInstagram pages on Saturday.

“R.I.P champ, you will be forever missed but #neverforgotten,” he wrote in an Instgram caption. “#greatestofalltime #besttoeverdoit AS-SALAAM -ALAIKUM SIR may peace be with you”

He reflected on Ali’s life during a pregame hit on NBA TV.

Ali died Friday at the age of 74. He was not only widely considered to be one of the greatest boxers, but his social activism and colorful personality also made him one of the most popular—and polarizing—athletes of all time.
