NEFFWORKING caught up with Canadian music artist Blow_Flyy and talked him about his inspiration, ambition and plans with his music. Check it out below.

So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

BLOW_FLYY: I grew up in a small Black community outside of Halifax-Dartmouth Nova Scotia call North Preston, I first decided about music when I was in high school writing poetry.

How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

BLOW_FLYY: BLOW_FLYY came from my father, people called him that when he was younger and in music himself that’s what inspired me to carry this name BLOW_FLYY.

What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

BLOW_FLYYI think online music sharing is great for the fans and if used the right way to promote an artist/Band, it is good also for that artist/Band, I use to give 1 or 2 tracks away for free for Promo purposes.

Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

BLOW_FLYY: yes, my tip is to follow your dream and be as professional as you can while learning everything you can about this industry, and if you have a manager listen to what he tells you and believe in what he is doing for you.

Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

BLOW_FLYY: I try not to make mistakes when I’m performing if I do I just improvise so the fans won’t even notice.

Do you tour? Anything interesting happens on the tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

BLOW_FLYY: I haven’t toured as of yet, My team is so focused on mobile and online marketing and Promo, Streaming and Sales.

Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

BLOW_FLYY: I gather my inspiration for songwriting by everything that I see and hear that goes on around me and even what I actually experience, then if I feel something I will remember what I seen, heard and experienced then I write about it.

Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

BLOW_FLYY: Yes,, My manager uses all mobile and online platforms we can find available.
