Popular North Carolina DJ Waleed Coyote is involved in a dispute with WWE wrestling superstar, Chris Jericho.

Waleed Coyote, who broadcasts on 102 Jams in Greensboro, was involved in a verbal altercation with Chris Jericho at “The Treasure Club,” in the early hours of May 7.

AllHipHop.com’s Rumors section reported that Chris Jericho became enraged and took a man’s phone, after he supposedly took a picture of him in the club.

He allegedly became involved in an altercation with a man who turned out to be popular personality Waleed Coyote, who is also CEO of Othaz Records and President of the Slip-N-Slide DJ coalition.

Now, Waleed is challenging Chris Jericho to a three-on-three match to settle the dispute.

“The thing that bothered me about this dude is that we weren’t formerly introduced and he acted out of line and you can’t do that in North Carolina,” Waleed Coyote told AllHipHop.com. “He would have done that to anyone in this state and you can’t do that.”

When Waleed and Chris Jericho were involved in their verbal confrontation, Jericho was accompanied by wrestler R. Truth, as well as a WWE referee.

Waleed Coyote, whose song “DJ Hero” with P. Wonda is getting air around the country, is challenging all three men to meet him in the ring.

Waleed said he will bring two men to compete in a 3-on-3 “No Rules” match.

“It was him [Jericho] the ref and R. Truth who wanted to pop off at me and my cousin and I don’t fight, but this time it’s different,” Waleed told AllHipHop.com.

According to Waleed, he will donate the proceeds of any such match to music charities throughout the state of North Carolina.

Reps for Chris Jericho could not be reached as of press time.

Lakers’ Ramon Sessions isn’t letting this opportunity pass him by. Ramon Sessions waited five years for a regular gig as an NBA point guard and is taking advantage of chance Lakers gave him, averaging 13.1 points and 7.1 assists. He says he’d like to stay awhile too.

It’s tough to imagine an NBA player “never getting a chance” in almost five years as a pro, the cliche enough to make most people scoff. But Ramon Sessions has pushed back a series of basketball boulders to reveal a meadow of opportunity. ”It’s crazy. My whole career, there’s never been a point where I kind of had control,” he said. “Now I’ve got control.”

He’s been the Lakers’ point guard for one month, and it’s never been easier to remember his decision to leave the University of Nevada and enter the 2007 draft as a junior because he figured there was a lack of point guards in a draft heavy on big men.

His name almost wasn’t called.

Milwaukee took him 56th out of 60 picks, just below Herbert Hill and just above Sammy Mejia. His Nevada coach, Mark Fox, could barely stomach the draft-day drop.

“He knew it was a risk to go because he wasn’t projected in the first round,” said Fox, now the coach at Georgia. “And then to go as late as he did, I just felt sick for him because there’s not a better person. He’s as genuine a young guy as I’ve ever been around.”

Turned out that scouts liked Sessions’ passing ability but weren’t sure about his scoring.

“I just knew I had to work then,” Sessions said.

He was sent down to the Development League early in his first season, recalled a couple of months later and sustained a fractured hand in his first practice back with the Bucks.

When he finally returned, he played well in the Bucks’ last seven games, collecting a team-record 24 assists against Chicago, but the momentum quickly stalled before his second pro season.

There was a new Bucks coach, Scott Skiles, and a host of other small guards: Luke Ridnour, Charlie Bell and Tyronn Lue. Sessions didn’t even suit up for the first two games that season.

“I was like, man, here goes something else holding me back,” Sessions said. “Am I really going to make it? That’s what I started thinking to myself.”

But then the Bucks’ backcourt had to be reshuffled after Michael Redd got hurt. Sessions ended up being solid, averaging 12.4 points and 5.7 assists, and at times brilliant, scoring 44 against Detroit and assembling a triple-double against the Lakers.

He became a free agent in July 2009 but it felt like draft night all over again. Nobody wanted him.

It was the summer before LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh became free agents. Teams were already carving out salary-cap space.

“It was a long, long process,” Sessions said. “A lot of teams were saving for LeBron and them.”

The Clippers and New York expressed modest interest but he finally signed a four-year, $16.4-million contract with Minnesota, 66 days after free agency began.

He picked up the phone and called his mother, Ann, who worked at a coffee shop in a hotel for 20 years in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

“She was always getting up at five in the morning, supporting me and my sister,” Sessions said. “I said, ‘Mom, you don’t have to work anymore.’ It was the best phone call I ever made. I bought her a house in South Carolina and she’s just hanging out watching every game.”

But Sessions never got past rookie Johnny Flynn, a high draft pick for the Timberwolves, and was traded to Cleveland in 2010, basically as a salary dump. The Timberwolves were happy to take back the substantially cheaper contract of Delonte West, whom they quickly waived.

In Cleveland, Sessions found himself playing behind Mo Williams, but got more minutes after Williams was hurt and even scored 32 against the Lakers. He was nudged aside, however, not long after the Cavaliers acquired Baron Davis from the Clippers for Williams.

“They end up just throwing him in the lineup,” Sessions said. “My minutes went from 30-35 to, like, 20.”

Last year, the Cavaliers drafted point guard Kyrie Irving with the top overall pick. Sessions knew what that meant.

“Here we go again,” he said, rolling his eyes.

He was averaging 10.5 points and 5.2 assists as a backup when the Lakers plucked him away a few hours before last month’s trade deadline. They also traded Derek Fisher the same day in a cost-cutting move.

“When they got rid of Fish, I was like, wow, these guys really must believe in me,” Sessions said. “They want me to come in and play for the Lakers and start for the Lakers when I’m in Cleveland and I can’t even start for them.”

Sessions, 26, is averaging 13.1 points and 7.1 assists with his new team, providing a burst of speed and scoring the Lakers haven’t had at the position in years.

“He’s given this team a big lift,” Lakers Coach Mike Brown said. “You see and you feel some leadership capabilities within him. That’s something that at that point-guard position, if he can get comfortable doing it, which I think he very well can, it can help out this organization for a long, long time.”

Sessions is expected to decline a player option for $4.6 million next season and become an unrestricted free agent.

He said he didn’t want to move again, not with so much clarity in his basketball career. A return to the Lakers would seem logical if the sides worked out a multiyear deal.

“These fans really believe in me in this place and they really know basketball. They’ve seen the greatest of greats come through here,” he said. “It’s unreal. In my whole career, it’s never been like this, being noticed. You’re on ESPN every night or TNT. You’re with Kobe Bryant out there in the backcourt.

“I want to be here. I don’t know what that means or how that’s going to happen. It ain’t no secret. I’ll tell anybody that. I tell [Lakers General Manager] Mitch Kupchak. I tell my agent. I want to be here. Period. For a long time.”

Believe it or not, the biggest key to making Tebowmania work in New York is not Tim Tebow.

The lynchpin in this is New York Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez.

The Jets on Wednesday acquired Tebow for a pair of 2012 draft picks. It’s a modest price for a player who was taken in the first round in 2010 and has many good traits you want in a football player.

But what the Jets don’t want is Tebow as their starter. That is Sanchez’s job, and if it doesn’t stay true to form, that is when problems will arise.

The Jets traded for Tebow because they want to run the ball a lot, and Tebow would be a perfect fit for new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano’s Wildcat package. No team ran that package better than Sparano when he was in Miami. Expect a Tebow/Wildcat resurgence with the Jets in 2012.

Tebowmania has the potential to be great for New York — as long as it’s in moderation. Therefore, Sanchez must handle his end as the starting quarterback.

Sanchez can no longer have three bad games in a row, like he did last year, with Tebow waiting on the sideline. Sanchez has to be consistent, accurate, move the offense and score points. The Jets showed their faith in Sanchez this offseason by giving him a $58.25 million contract. It’s time for Sanchez to produce. No excuses.

If Sanchez successfully runs New York’s base offense, everything with Tebow falls perfectly into place. Sanchez can do the throwing, Tebow can do the running and New York’s 25th-ranked offense will be scoring at a higher clip than last season. That’s a win-win for the Jets.

But if Sanchez doesn’t play well, especially early, fans will want the wildly popular Tebow as the starting quarterback. That’s when things would unravel for the Jets. There is already a nervousness about Sanchez going into the season. It wouldn’t take long for there to be immense fan pressure in New York to push for a quarterback change.

As usual, there’s no in between when it comes to Tebow. This move by the Jets has the potential to be genius or disastrous.

Everything rests on Sanchez’s shoulders.

Tyga‘s careless world was hit with quite a bit of drama on Monday night following a concert in Omaha, Nebraska. Omaha police confirmed with MTV News that two members of Tyga’s entourage were shot and suffered minor wounds when a van that the Young Money rapper was traveling in took on gunfire after his show at the Sokol Auditorium in downtown.

Tyga’s artist Honey Cocaine, real name Sochitla Sal, took to Twitter early Tuesday morning (March 20) and confirmed that she was one of the people shot. “Got shot and I’m not dead. #LoveLifeAndGod,“ she wrote .

Police said a black Ford Taurus followed the band’s bus to 16th and Jackson streets, and continued to fire, striking the bus and its trailer, shattering a window.

The other person hit refused treatment at the scene. There were nine people in the bus at the time of the shooting, including two children.

The director of the ‘Kony 2012′ viral video is being kept in a mental hospital for his own safety, as his wife blamed the unexpected popularity and criticism of the film for his public breakdown.

Jason Russell, co-founder of the charity Invisible Children, was arrested for allegedly being drunk and masturbating in public yesterday morning following reports that he was seen vandalising cars and running through traffic wearing just his underwear.

He is allegedly being held in a 5150 psychiatric ward in San Diego, where authorities are allowed to keep him for three days to confirm he is not a danger to himself or others.

Mr Russell’s wife has now spoken out to defend her husband’s ‘irrational’ behaviour – suggesting that it was brought on by the unexpected attention and criticism that his film about the African warlord Joseph Kony generated.

Danica Russell  issued a statement saying her husband: ‘did some irrational things brought on by extreme exhaustion and dehydration.’

‘We thought a few thousand people would see the film, but in less than a week, millions of people around the world saw it,’ she said.

‘While that attention was great for raising awareness about Joseph Kony, it also brought a lot of attention to Jason and, because of how personal the film is, many of the attacks against it were also very personal, and Jason took them very hard.’

Further criticism emerged today in a response from the Ugandan government who argue the video gives a ‘false impression’ and that Kony is no longer in the country.

‘The Kony 2012 campaign fails to make one crucial point clear. Joseph Kony is not in Uganda,’ Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi said in a 9-minute video posted on YouTube.

The Prime Minister insisted that the Kony 2012 video did not represent the current situation in the east African nation.

Mbabazi said Uganda was on Kony’s trail but said they did not ‘need a slick video on YouTube… to take notice.’

Mr Russell, 33, was calm and co-operative when apprehended by police, according to NBC San Diego, but seemed to be under the influence of alcohol.

Danica has denied that her husband has any substance abuse or drinking problems.

Although he was not charged with a crime, officials decided that he should be committed to hospital for medical treatment following the incident.

‘During the evaluation we learned that we probably needed to take care of him,’ a police spokesman said.

‘So officers detained him and transferred him to a local medical facility for further evaluation and treatment.’

‘The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday.

‘We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.’

The charity, which aims to raise awareness of the atrocities committed by the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda, sprang to worldwide fame last week after releasing an online video entitled ‘Kony 2012′.

The 30-minute film, directed by Mr Russell, documents the activities of LRA leader Joseph Kony, notorious for his reign of terror in central Africa and particularly his use of child soldiers.

It has garnered 80million hits on YouTube, and attracted widespread support from celebrities and members of the public.

The filmmaker seems to have been unprepared for the amount of publicity that his video would generate, which has been promoted on Twitter with tags that include #Kony2012 and endorsed by the likes of Justin Bieber, George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey.

However, critics claim that the film over-simplifies a complex conflict and diverts attention from more pressing causes.
