When the Fashion Week cognoscenti spied Willow Smith sitting front row at Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2016 presentation, they couldn’t help but wonder if the 15-year-old fashion chameleon and free-spirited musician was poised to be the house’s next rising star.
Those gut suspicions were soon confirmed when, just moments later, Chanel announced that Willow had received Karl Lagerfeld’s blessing to be the brand’s newest ambassadress. Willow will now shine her own Afro-futuristic light alongside other Chanel luminaries, including Kristen Stewart, Keira Knightley, Alice Dellal and Diane Kruger.
