“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” stars Stevie J and Mimi Faust were reportedly targeted in hotel shooting recently, Mediatakeout reported.
According to the gossip site, Stevie was allegedly involved in an altercation at a club in downtown Charlotte, NC, that may have led to the massive shooting, which Charlotte news media reported involved at least one AK-47.
The incident started while Stevie and Mimi were hosting a CIAA basketball tournament party at Charlotte hotspot, Club Empire, late night on Saturday, Feb. 27.
According to a MTO source, “Stevie got into it with someone in the club-and they had a lot of friends. Before you know it, a bunch of people jumped Stevie and Mimi.”
Although the site reported that the ex-couple made it out of the club with barely any injuries, their aggressors allegedly followed them to their Hyatt Place hotel and opened fire with a machine gun aimed at the van chauffeuring Stevie and Mimi.
Stevie and Mimi have not confirmed any being involved in any of the reports, but WBTV News in Charlotte did confirm that three men have been arrested for shooting up two vehicles and the Hyatt Place hotel lobby with between 40-50 shots fired.
According to investigators, the incident didn’t appear to be a random act of violence.
Stevie did post a promotional flyer for the party, hinting that he was in Charlotte during the time of the shooting. Mimi also posted photos hanging out with her girlfriends during CIAA weekend. However, neither of them have responded to the shoot-out rumors.
